I can remember sitting in my parents house late at night when I was about 12 years old trying to record Damn the Torpedoes on a tape recorder with a hand held microphone. It still ranks as one of my favorite records from my childhood.
So this got me thinking a bit - What are some of your memories of recording music as a kid?
I would record all kinds of things when i was a kid in the 70's. I found an old cassette the other day that I made back then. It was a recording of the Sha Na Na t.v. program. I used to sit in front of the tv with my tape player and record it, now that's old school.

ReplyDeleteOne of the problems is that my sisters would usually come into the room and demand the recorder. Their voices ended up on those tapes!
